I've been seeing Dr. Harper for over 5 years now. At my first appointment, during the pandemic, I wasn't sure I liked him. When we were trying to figure out my diagnosis I felt a little dismissed by him but I persevered and he has become one of my favorite doctors. He always has time to chat and listen. He will explain the how and why of any recommended decisions. I wasn’t going to post anything and then I saw a fairly recent review that described my experience exactly. I went in hopeful for answers and was brushed under the carpet. Any forward progress or momentum; the onus was on me. He got two findings incorrect. One finding was the key to my diagnosis. The other finding that he misread could have left me very seriously ill. I would not recommend continuing medical testing with him. Fair enough, it was the weekend, and I had messaged him through the patient portal. I expected a follow-up once all the test results were in, as he said, "I'll get my nurse to call you when all the results come in." That never happened. Instead, I had to find the results myself through the ARA and CPI portals and try to interpret everything on my own. Great Rheumatologist caring and really listens to the patient
I tirelessly worked to get this doctor to help me. Within a single week of visiting another specialist & practice and using all of the data & imagining already collected the problem was found and a diagnosis/treatment plan administered. This practitioner made me feel dramatic, silly, and crazy. I am beyond disappointed because truly it just seems like he didn’t care. I had to call constantly to get results.
