Awful and dangerous product. **** **, started smoking after less than one year of use. These things happen, but the customer support experience afterwards was appalling. Long wait time. Sympathetic agent who asked me to write a detailed email, with photos, receipt, case number. And then no reply for more than a week. No acknowledgement of receipt. No response whatsoever. I purchased 6 new Broan QTXE080 fans on eBay. They arrived in undamaged, factory sealed boxes which I opened to ensure everything looked OK. Two weeks later when I took the fans out of the boxes to install, I discovered that three of them had broken hinge pins on the damper plate. This is a plastic part that likely costs Broan less than 25 cents to manufacture and its flimsy design shows it, but that isn't the complaint here. One would think after 84 years in the business nutone would get it right, but no. I have had three homes with fancy intercom, music systems and none continued to operate for my stay there. Model discontinued, no service companies and just plain shoddy products. I would never specify a nutone intercom system nor advise my clients to purchase one
