On June 6, 2014 I visited Dr. Yahn (originally my wife's physician) for a physical in preparation for my donating a kidney to my best friend in Oregon. I'd been in excellent health my entire life and the complete and thorough physical was normal. Dr. Yahn saw us on short notice, treated us very professionally, had a friendly manner, and gave a clearly explained diagnosis. We would not hesitate to see her again or to recommend her to anyone.
Dr. Yahn is the best. I am recently new to Missoula and am glad I found Dr. Yahn. She was very thorough in her examination (and I have a long and complicated medical history). On a recent flare up of diverticulitis, while in her office for an appointment, she immediately called down to the ER to admit me, order tests, and had her nurse take me down in a wheelchair. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a doctor.
My mom died because of Dr. Yahn not listening to her needs. My mom was taking a medication that gave her Lactic Acidosis that ruptured her small intestines causing her to be sepsis. My mom called her several times and went to visit her complaining of these symptoms that she was having. Dr Yahn did nothing! All she had to do was listen and change her meds and it could've saved her life.
Dr Yahn is quiet and reserved but very knowledgeable and a good cheer leader for those of us who hesitate trusting the medical profession. I love her. She has been my physician for quite some time now and "has my number" LOL -- meaning she gets where I'm coming from as a resistant patients. But I have learned to trust her judgment and know she has my best interest in mind, so I follow here advice in spite of my stubborn resistance! PS: Her nurse Kathy is awesome too.
