Daughter attended physio while waiting for MRI results. Physiotherapist told her, based on twisting her leg a couple of times, that she didn’t have an ACL or meniscus injury, treated her for a few weeks for a dislocated kneecap, then encouraged her to go back to competitive gymnastics. A couple of days before she was set to return to gymnastics, the MRI came back with a full ACL and meniscus tear — the surgeon later told us she would’ve done irreparable damage had she gone back to gymnastics.
