Phil is the most knowledgeable outboard motor tech I've ever run across in decades of boating. If he doesn't think it's worth fixing he won't. The cost of taking something to him is fair and honest. ***Adding this as it is my second review to add to my appreciation for a great guy, great service and again for a fantastic job done on my old Merc . 5 stars don't do him justice!!
Time will tell, as I have not gotten my boat back from him yet, but so far working with Phil has been far and away the best experience I've had with any boat mechanic in the area. Definitely recommend.
