I lost my mother a little over a month ago when I was informed I needed to contact hospice I was in denial about the situation I didn't want to believe my mom was at the end of her life. I have read many reviews before mine, and I wish my brother could have received the same compassionate care it appears others before us received from Bristol Hospice. Our family's experience was starkly different and right from the start, the initial contact person, John, felt a bit pushy and I was not convinced they would do all they said they would do. Bristol Hospice was so helpful and available to us during my husband's 5 days on hospice. Whenever we called they were available and gave us good advice on the phone or a nurse would come. I was some what uncertain about what to do when the intake nurse didn't have orders from Kaiser, when he arrived. I think he should have called Kaiser to get orders since they didn't send them. Also, it would have been better if a bath aide would have been available over the weekend. He would have received only 1 bath in the 5 days he was ... read more
I can't even begin to thank Bristol Hospice for wrapping their caring arms around my seriously I'll sister and myself. I felt so validated in my sadness and grief, and my sis was given top notch care. Ruth the nurse, Kim the bath aid, and JoAnne the chaplain stepped in and really made this an unforgettable, special time. My heart is overflowing with thanksgiving for ALL they have done. I would recommend Bristol hospice hands down! Amazing staff and care in every way! Thank you!❤️
