Mr. Brewster came to do three simple jobs at our house. Change some outside lightbulbs, fix a small hole in the drywall, and hang two blinds in a bedroom. He did not change all the lightbulbs on the outside. He hung the blinds improperly and they had to be taken down and rehung in order for them to function. For his “service“, we received a bill of $450 for just over 5 hours of “work” ($85 per hour!) when the usual customary rate for handyman work is $40 per hour.
