Absolutely no transparency or honesty from this doctor’s office. If you go in for any type of appointment, blood work, urine work or any lab tests, they’ll make you believe your insurance covers everything but in reality you’ll be surprised with the bills you recieve in the mail. I was completely unaware that this doctor’s office was sending my lab tests to a lab that doesn’t take my insurance, something that they should have known and assured me with before sending any type of tests to. I made an appointment on Zocdoc and as per the website I was expecting to pay my copayment of $15. I received a call an hour prior to my appointment confirming that I was coming. When I arrived. The front desk states that the visit has a cost of $350 and that it is not cover with my insurance. This place is a scam. If she called me an hour before to confirm she could have also stated that my insurance doesn’t cover the visit. Dr Briones is ahead of the field when it comes to obesity. She is kind and she listens to her patients. She has an excellent bedside manner. People dont know that insurance does not cover weight loss and they take it out on her. Medication is also in short supply and people take it out on her and her staff. They are all very professional and have your best interest at heart. I have never seen a Dr be accessible like Dr Briones is. She is truly a life saver.
