I’ve been a long time fan of Au Pain Dore so when I came to visit Sherway Gardens Mall I was delighted to learn there was a location here. As always, the food I ordered was very delicious, and I always enjoy a latte from here as well. However, if I were to suggest one improvement, it would be the option to tip on the card machine! Every other location I have visited has had this option, so I was disappointed that I was not able to add a tip when paying by credit. I’m giving 2 stars due to the poor customer service. While the breads and pastries are good, my experience today was disappointing. I purchased two items—a pesto danish and a ham and cheese bread—around 5:20 PM on a Sunday. I was immediately told they couldn’t warm them up because the oven had already been cleaned. That was quite surprising and frustrating, especially during business hours. This kind of service really takes away from an otherwise good product.
Unfortunately the time is incorrect. Came 10-15 minutes before 9:00 and it was practically closed, everything empty and no worker. I understand it was close to closing, but the open till 9:30 pm on google maps is incorrect.
Tried the turkey swiss cheese sandwich with cranberry and cappuccino … it was really nice..
