I try to make certain that the patient unerstands their condition, the operation required if necessary, and all available alternatives. I enjoy treating a wide variety of conditions from simple skin lesions to complex intra-abdominal malignancies.

In 2020 had gallbladder removal due to non functioning. Dr. Brinkman also took my appendix even though it was healthy according to report. I had e coli infection and was anemic three days after surgery. Another hospital saved me and transferred me back to his care. I was drained while awake and two drains placed at different times. After six months of having blood in my pelvis my OBGYN removed it since he refused to. No follow up labs or care given. A cancer center followed me afterwards for six months. Dr Brinkman is a walking Angel and there are not enough words of kindness, compassion and most of all his expertise. I am so Thankful my GI Dr referred me, I finally have my life back and thanks again Dr Brinkman. Patient with diverticulitis
My recent surgery proved to be very positive. The staff was very kind and concerned. Dr. Brinkman has a positive attitude, very informative and puts you at ease. His is an excellent surgeon.
Very very good bedside manner explains everything offering different procedures to fit you! Liked him so well Im using him myself for GERD surgery! We are Ohio transplants good to get a mid western doc who understands your mid western way super nice man super in all ways ! Very happy with him office staff was nice as can be and very clean in Middleburg Fl. First class all the way around!! YOUR time is HIS no hurry up and get out!
Dr. Brinkman and his staff are wonderful , caring, knowledgeable and polite. Would return for future surgeries and highly recommend to family and friends.
I met Dr Brinkman in wound care treatment after emergency surgery due to acute diverticulitis. He took such good care of me and showed he genuinely cared. He was so extremely trustworthy I asked him to do my reversal. That was 04-21-2016. I would highly recommend him for surgery again. I was never scared.
