My brother and I were both recommended to Gary. Do yourself a favor and never get involved with him. Dude is rude and unwilling to help. Pick anyone but Gary Silverman. Negative 5 stars
Unfortunately, The Silverman Family customer service is very unfriendly. They have been unwilling to help our family and left us feeling like a burden each time we called. We switched to a State Farm branch near us and they are much friendlier and easier to work with, but if you like automated systems and high prices this might be the place for you!
Gary was wonderful when I initially signed up for home and auto insurance. I called him 6 months ago fussing about auto insurance rates and was basically told yeah it sucks, some people's have gone up 200% or more. Now both home and auto were due for renewal. I found significantly cheaper insurance for both, with the automobile being 1/3 of the quote I received the carrier I had. He never once offered to try to find cheaper coverage for me. As mentioned, Gary is great at getting good insurance at low rates. What is more difficult is dealing with Brightway servicing the accounts. Wait time to resolve issues through the phone with Brightway is something like 45 minutes now. Issues to resolve only come up every few years, so you'll still want to deal with Gary for the insurance, but you're not going to get the quick response that you used to get from Gary's staff directly.
I have been working with Gary for both homeowners and auto coverage for many years. He continues to exceed my expectations. Any time I have a question about my policy or want to shop around for better rates, he is super helpful and always responds quickly. Gary is very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.
