When BrightStar works, it works fine. If you have a caregiver coming on a regular, scheduled basis, it usually works fine. When a caregiver's schedule has to change, though, BrightStar is abysmally bad. When there is a schedule change, odds are BrightStar will not come at all. And when they don't come, they don't let you know about it either. They will simply not show up, not communicate, and leave their customers in the lurch, without any reasoning whatsoever. My husband came home from a care center with a tender, raw area around a new ileostomy he had gotten. We hadn't learned properly how to change his ileostomy bag and it was leaking when he came home within hours. I was able to contact Bright Star and they got back to me in under 12 hours and got a nurse out to us right away to help. I can't thank them enough. We learned more from this nurse who came to visit us then half a dozen nurses that have been helping with the ileostomy since this happened. Thank you
