Care has gone downhill since Greenbriar took over. Staff turnover as well. Activities aren’t that stimulating, not as good as Montessori program, which was in effect during the Bickford management. Be aware!!!! After a two year stay, they said they can’t take care of my loved one anymore in memory care. He’s a fall risk. They knew that when I admitted him and they took him any way two years ago. Now they’re asking us to leave within a month. And I also heard rumors that other residents were asked to leave. I can not in good conscience recommend The Rivers. My mother has been a resident in the Memory Care unit there for over a year and a half. In that time, there have been five Executive Directors and a nearly complete turnover in direct care staff. While the care staff genuinely do seem to care about my mom, there is a frequent lack of resident supervision; I have found my mother in other residents rooms on several occasions, many of her possessions have gone missing - whether lost by her or "gathered" by other residents who t... read more
