My wife had a lobectomy and spent 5 days inpatient at Shapiro Building 5 West at Brigham and Women's, and the entire team there was nothing short of incredible. From the doctors to the nurses to the physicians' assistants to the patient care assistants and even the housekeeping staff, everyone was fantastic. The care and concern shown to my wife and myself was like nothing I have ever experienced in my life, and if you ever need cardiac care, this is by far and away the best place in the country to go.
I am outraged. This has been the worst experience with healthcare that I have ever had. With a family member dying in the ICU the nurses had a vendetta against us because after one of them manipulated, lied and broke professional boundaries we asked for her to be removed from the care of our family member. From that moment on the good experience that we had for the 5 days that we had been already there completely changed. Can't say enough positive things about Emily the PA and all the fabulous nurses/aids on the 7th floor of the Shapiro building that took care of me while I was in room 729. The kitchen staff and all the different people that were associated with taking care of the room and other tasks were fabulous. Big positive shout out to all the Brigham and Women's Boston staff doctors that cleaned up the mess. Sitting over here at Urgent Care in Foxboro waiting to get checked out.
