This is one of the best antique and collection galleries in the state of California. I have been doing business with R. Briggs & Fred coops for many years [since 1981] and they both have always been fair to me. Fred educated me on how to safely insure my collections. If you are a collector or a aspiring collector Briggs&Coops is your best place to visit. You will not be disappointed.
Poor service. Difficult to buy anything because they sigh when they have to take a coin out from under the glass. Security guard is a grouchy old scary old guy that is just ready to shoot you, whether you are a doctor or average Joe. The bid board: asked how it works and they asked like explaining it was a chore for them. I ended up going to the Beaumont coin store and bought $3500 in coins there instead. Low ballers won’t ever go there and they tax a lot
During my dealings I have been treated fairly and honestly as I would expect from a good, reputable business. The staff is knowledgeable and will make an effort to understand the needs and desires of the customers. I have been in other coin shops only to be disappointed. I would like earlier hours of operation because of my own business hours, but I am willing to work with their availability because of the good customer service.
