When it first opened we loved this Italian restaurant. But the service declined over the years. The last time we went was on New Year's Eve a couple years ago. They automatically gave themselves a 20% tip for a party of 3 and did not point it out. We added a 20% tip and a $20 bonus as a NYE gift. When we went home and noticed that we had inadvertently tipped 40% + $20 = $70 on $120 dinner, we called the next day. Nice family-owned restaurant This is a nice upscale Italian restaurant that has delicious food and pleasant decor. They seem to use the freshest ingredients and the service was great. Try the outdoor seating.

Quality not good enough for price – We have been there twice, the last time as a group of six. The general opinion was the food was not as good as the price would suggest. The fact that they automatically added a 20% tip to all groups >= 6 was not appreciated either.

Wonderful experience We had a lovely dinner here after a horrid experience at Magnolia in Pasadena. Briganti's food and drinks were great and service was exceptional. Their semi-outdoor patio area is really cute and a great spot for a candlelit dinner. We plan to go back soon!!

They tried to bait and switch our meal. – I've eaten at Briganti about ten times. The food is really good. The first nine times I ate there, the service was kind of poor. We've had the usual bad service where we have to go to the kitchen for silverware, wait forever for the check, etc. I like the food and it is close to home, so I've gone hoping the servers would improve. Awful service – We went to this restaurant on a special date night out without the kids. When we requested to switch tables b/c we were right next to the kitchen door, the waitress gave us attitude and said it was unlikely b/c it was a busy night. The hostess came by and also made us feel bad about making such a simple request. It ruined the rest of our meal. We otherwise would have enjoyed the food if it weren't for the hostess and waitress, who ignored us the rest of the night until she gave us our bill with a fake smile. ... read more

Good food, TERRIBLE service – A group of 8 of us had dinner last night at Briganti. We had an 8:00 pm reservation, but waited until 8:30 to be seated. When I had called the prior week to make the reservation I was asked if I preferred to be seated indoors or on the patio, and chose the patio. However the hostess tried to seat us indoors after our 30 minute wait. I explained that we expected a table on the patio. best italian food ever – Just went to Briganti for dinner on New Year's Eve. It was a delightful experience. The menu is great. The food is excellent. The wine list is good. The service is perfect. We had the caprese salad, rigatoni, chicken, and pizza for the husband. So very good. We chose tiramisu for dessert--the best ever. Liked the decaf as it was strong. We needed reservations even at 5 PM. I can hardly wait to go back. I get hungry everytime I think about their menu.
