Grumpiest guy serving. Overpriced food that was far below what you would expect for the price. Pretty grotty area to eat. Overall probably the worst dining experience in all of Tasmania. Avoid. Meal 1 ribs- tiny and mash tasted like a mix of detergent and plastic didn't resemble potato at all Meal 2 - seafood basket, completely flavourless and only tastes like old oil. Called in for a meal because the other pub was full. My son had the scotch fillet and said it was the worst steak he had ever had. I had the pork belly, also the worst I had ever had it was dry and over cooked. Mum had scallops most of it was batter with no scallops in it and dad had lamb shank and there was hardly any meat on it so all up a very disappointing meal. Wont be back
I stayed at the Bridport Hotel in late 2025, as I was playing golf at nearby Barnbougle. The room upstairs was $70/night. Where do I start? The Bridport Hotel is terribly rundown, both outside & in. The rooms upstairs are basic, old, dilapidated and dirty. The sheets & pillows are ancient & the carpet is horrible. Flimsy old door barely lockable. quiet when we arrived. nice. walking distance from the caravan park.
Very disappointing. Our order was lost so we waited for over an hour to be served. The staff were friendly but seemed unaware of what was going on and unmotivated to do anything about it. When it arrived, the food was cold and overcooked. Unacceptable. A place run this way wouldn't survive in a bigger town.
