ER dr was a complete jerk. I was taken in by ambulance for extreme pain (turns out kidney stones).about 2 years ago If you know you know what type of pain that is . Dr rolled his eyes numerous times when my pain would get worse like I was just being dramatic. My fiancé caught him doing it and had a nice side bar chat with the Dr.. I am a nurse and that Dr should NOT be working with sick people AT ALL!! Now today I think I am having stones again. I live 2 min from Bridgton hospital-but highly considering driving else where !
Brought a Friend over with a torn Muscle in his Lower Right Arm. He was admitted quickly and professionally. I was admitted last Year with a Stroke and I had EXCELLENT Care.
If you have something that truly needs immediate care, say you need stitches or you broke a bone, then you'll probably do okay here. Anything else- don't bother. I'm not sure what has happened here. The emergency room used to be much better, but now it really isn't. There are other options in the area and I would strongly suggest you use them instead. Worst hospital I have ever been to. If you go there for any issues it will be a complete guessing game. If you go 5 times for the same issue you’ll get a different diagnosis every time.
Don't recommend this hospital AT ALL! I was brought there at 5am with chest pain that was going down my left arm and up my jaw. They did 1 blood draw and told me everything was fine and I just had heart burn and "to make me feel better" (the doctors words) he would do a second blood draw but before results came back they quickly discharged me. I said screw it, left and was going to another hospital when the doctor called me and told me to get to Central Maine Med immediately because the troponin levels in my heart tripled. I... read more
