If you have something that truly needs immediate care, say you need stitches or you broke a bone, then you'll probably do okay here. Anything else- don't bother. I'm not sure what has happened here. The emergency room used to be much better, but now it really isn't. There are other options in the area and I would strongly suggest you use them instead. Worst hospital I have ever been to. If you go there for any issues it will be a complete guessing game. If you go 5 times for the same issue you’ll get a different diagnosis every time.
Don't recommend this hospital AT ALL! I was brought there at 5am with chest pain that was going down my left arm and up my jaw. They did 1 blood draw and told me everything was fine and I just had heart burn and "to make me feel better" (the doctors words) he would do a second blood draw but before results came back they quickly discharged me. I said screw it, left and was going to another hospital when the doctor called me and told me to get to Central Maine Med immediately because the troponin levels in my heart tripled. I... read more
Drive the extra 20 minutes to Norway ER to actually be seen or taken care of. These people suck and will let you suffer while they sit around on their phones. Nurse wouldn’t even clean my wound.
I brought my 23 year old daughter in on Friday the 9th at 11:37am her throat was in pain an visually swelled after 35 minutes we were still waiting I went to ask if I should take her somewhere else an how much longer it may be an got told I don't know what happened to the staff in the emergency department please do better with care, communication an understanding an maybe know how to answer the questions asked
