I am currently here for rehab and I would not recommend this place to anyone, They are grossly understaffed. Nursing and CNA's run hot or cold, they are either exceptional or very lax. The food is fair, served mostly cold and not too tasty. Rehab is five-star, they are the only reason I've agreed to stay on. Esther

After reviewing the options for nursing homes in our area, we decided to visit Bridgeway Christian Village and decided that it was a comfortable, yet affordable, option for my mom. However, that was about as good as it got. The staff at this nursing home is either severely understaffed or lazy. When we first arrived at the facility, it took the staff two full hours before they acknowledged her arrival. We then requested a Hoyer lift for her to be transported to bed. This place is horrible! I disagree with another review that said they were uneducated. They are very well educated and very compitent. The problem comes in that they are extremely overworked and treated like crap by the ADON and the DONs. The staff is literally harassed and forced to either work beyond their means or forced to leave. No matter how many times the staff tells the scheduling team "No, I'm to tired" it doesn't matter. I SECOND THAT! – For what you pay in comparison to other nursing homes (the facility is not cheap, but is AFFORDABLE) & the HIGH LEVEL of QUALITY CARE you receive, I cannot recommend this place enough. The only reason my review is one star short of stellar, is because I don't have another point of reference as far as nursing homes go. I BEG TO DIFFER – I used to work for bridgeway as a CNA. I dont know who the caregiver was, or who the nurses were, but there are great staff there, and as for un- F***ing educated... Now ur blowing smoke out of you butt... if anything happens to a patient, we are put threw in services to educate us on what the proper technique is. Throw your mother in a chicago nursing then you will see what neglected and abused is! Because surely you have no idea lady!

TERRIBLE! – If you want your loved one mistreated and abused then put them in Bridgeway Christian Village in Bensenville Il. I made the terrible mistake of putting my poor mother there. The place is beautiful but the lack and neglect of nursing care is inexcusable. I was there everyday twice a day the minute I left my mother was abused! Terrible place and to this day I feel so guilty. I pulled my mom out of there but it was to late the damage was done. The D.O.N. lied to make her uneducated nursing staff look creditable.
