Not family friendly. Majority of the people that live in the development are of the mindset that children should be seen not heard. There is only one pool for over 1,000 homes. Mind you, we were told there were going to be two. That was one of the deciding factors between here and Heather Glenn. Now, there is only one pool and that’s it. It has now pinned the retirees against the families. I’m so disappointed. I wish we had looked at more neighborhoods that are welcoming of families.
So I had a door sweep/sill replaced under warranty which lasted three days. I called Jack and was told sorry we fixed it you are out of luck. Same thing happened with a piece of siding same piece warped twice after fixed under warranty. It’s still warped. According to construction law if something is fixed under warranty but not really fixed it remains under warranty. Jack is useless. Please skip the canned response. Stand behind your work.
Chesapeake Builders consistently fails to address issues promptly—or at all. The workmanship on their homes is abysmal: uneven floors, crooked walls, bad trim joints, and paint slopped everywhere, dying trees and never drying water pools on people’s properties are just the start. They rely on unskilled labor to churn out these mass-produced houses, so if you’re expecting craftsmanship, think again.
