Absolutely horrible building to live in; we got assigned a room where the heating/cooling unit in the living room was extremely loud and dysfunctional since day 1. During a blizzard in January(2026) it malfunctioned and started producing some white gas into the living room and through the vents in all 5 rooms. I wouldn’t recommend living here. Management is a mess and don’t pick up when called about concerns. We’ve had our A/C out for a week now during a heatwave and there’s been no news on when it’ll be fixed
Prepare to feel super hot in summers and cold in winters indoors. It’s been the week of a heat wave and the heating throughout appears to be broken even before this week. Our room temperature has been 82 degrees to 85 degrees and won’t go down. Whoever we spoke to in the building has the same issue. requests are ignored and there seems to be no solution for over a week. There was an email sent out saying centralized AC has been turned on like a month ago LOL. Wouldn’t recommend.
Save yourself the stress and don't rent at Bridgeport House, especially if you're a student. Once you've signed the lease, don't expect basic maintenance issues to be handled in a timely or professional manner. Repeated maintenance requests go unanswered, and when you follow up, you're made to feel like you're the problem for expecting the services and amenities promised in your lease. I would not recommend Bridgeport House, especially to students. Maintenance requests are ignored or somehow "can't be found," even when they've already been submitted. When you follow up, you're the one who gets blamed or spoken to disrespectfully for expecting basic amenities that are clearly included in your lease. Instead of resolving issues, management often makes residents feel like they're at fault for asking for what they're paying for.
