They are the absolute worst of the worst! This is not just from one experience. They are a part of Yale at this point, as is Milford Hospital, but the Bridgeport campus emergency room, is awful; from the receptionist, to the security, doctors, residents, and nurses. They will cause further trauma for mental health issues, and they cannot be trusted to properly evaluate medical conditions, on the physical level. Total incompetence and lack of management. My brother died here due to sepsis . This hospital needs to train their staff about what sepsis is, and be more compassionate and actually listen to their patients. He came here in really bad shape he was ignored all night.

Worst experience ever. I came here for my brother, who is sick, and we were made to wait from 2:00 AM until the morning 9 am of the same day. The staff kept saying they had a lot of patients, but the waiting hall was mostly empty. There was no proper communication, no concern for the patient’s condition, and no respect for people’s time—especially when someone is unwell. Very disappointing and frustrating experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
