If you are a bride you MUST try Brides for a Cause first. I was lucky enough to find my dress at the Tacoma location but I still had an appointment scheduled on Roosevelt and wanted to take a look. The store is beautiful, the dress selection (including designer gowns) is wonderful and the cause is amazing. Wow, the dress I found was such a steal - equivalent to almost 90% off retail (a $6,000 dress for only $700!!). I couldn’t stop thinking about all the absolute queens who donated their lovely mementos to help other brides find their perfect dress on a budget, while also donating to a great cause. I can’t post the one I chose since we are getting married in October, but here was the runner up! I know someone else is going to have an amazing wedding in this one! I love what this shoppe is doing and the dresses are very affordable. I went to this shoppe first because of my love for the ethos, but I found it completely overwhelming as someone without a clear vision of what I wanted. I also didn't know that wedding dresses are sized a bit differently. My experience lacked guidance and was more like a wedding dress Goodwill. My experience at Brides for a Cause Seattle was great! I made my appointment online and showed up a bit before my appointment time the girls gave me the guidance, you can try on up to 15 dresses and have an hour. I don’t think I tried on quite 15 but I did try on several and finally decided on the one that I said “yes” to. They have a great selection I’m between a size 12 and 14 (in wedding dresses) and there were plenty of options for me and different styles. I came in with a pretty open mind and wasn’t disappointed.
