I went here a little over a year ago to try on wedding dresses. By far the WORST experience I’ve had. We make an appointment and go in morning of and we are the only ones there. So we are expecting great service right? Nope. We get ushered to the dresses and told to just start picking some. We had an excellent experience with Bel Soie. My daughter-in-law is quite petite. We not only found a beautiful dress for her, but the alterations helped the gown fit her flawlessly. We also rented formal wear for the men in the wedding party. Most of them live in a city several hours away from the venue in Mankato. We tried Men's Wearhouse first, and they told us to go to the closest store to the venue, which is over an hour away. That didn't feel like a good idea. Only posting due to hearing so many positive things about this place (and the New Ulm one) and we got the exact opposite of all the positive experiences I had heard! When I made my appt here, I very clearly stated in the notes I was only going to try on different styles and get a feel for what I would want in a dress to buy/decide on at a LATER date. This was our 2nd trip to Bel Soie. Both occasions were for dress shopping of course. The first was for my daughter’s wedding dress. Lindsey assisted us. We laughed the entire time! She made the experience above and beyond expectations! We found the dress as well! What my daughter found was not at all what she even knew what she was looking for! It was amazing!
