Worst experience ever; bought my daughter’s wedding dress here along with renting all the suits for the wedding party. Drove 5 hours round trip so we could be measured by the staff there. Requested the wedding dress to be cleaned and pressed with a pickup date of two days before the ceremony. Wedding dress was not done on time and was promised it would be ready in 30 and that the store would call when ready—no call had to pick up the following day. My sister came here to get a dress and it was an AWFUL experience. The owner, Lara, is extremely rude and pushy. My sister wasn’t sure about the dress, but Lara tried to bully her into buying one.
DO NOT GO HERE! Owner is a liar. My consultant was the only good part about this experience. They knew my timeline, and I TRIPLE-CHECKED with Laura, the owner, that my dress would be in in time as I was leaving the state, and our wedding was destination. I was fine to get something off the rack and have fitted there just to make sure I had a dress, but all she cared about was money and so she PROMISED me my dress would be in mid-May. WOW- do I have an experience to share about the Bridal Connection and I didn’t even step one foot in the door. Three weeks before prom and we still did not have “the dress”. She had something particular in mind and wasn’t going to settle for anything. We are from the Dubuque area and decided to check some dresses at some local shops. Trying on gowns and saying ‘Yes!’ to the dress was a fantastic experience yesterday! Tammy made our daughter’s shopping adventure truly a beautiful day to remember. We came all the way from Kansas City to try on gowns at Bridal and Prom Connection (they hit the Senior Prom dress out of the park in 2011 for her, too)! Thank you, Tammy and Lara!
stopped in from out of town looking for a prom dress for my daughter, the ladies here were friendly and super helpful, even gave us reccomdations for dinner and sight seeing while in town. over all great place!!!!
I HIGHLY recommend checking out Bridal and Prom Connection! This is where I got my wedding dress and I absolutely loved my experience. I walked in without an appointment (the shop I was at before didn't work out, so I gave this place a try) and they were SO welcoming. I worked with the owner of the store and she was so helpful.
