I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels/resorts across North America. The Brickyard is by far the most charming, quaint and pleasant stay I’ve ever had. The rooms are older yet impeccably clean. What makes this spot are the owners. They are by far two of the most caring, genuine, friendly and accommodating people I’ve had the privilege of meeting. Stayed one night on a road-trip, it was clean and comfortable. Check in was good and helpful, noise from the road might bother a light sleeper and the bathroom ceiling could use a wipe down but I liked supporting an independent motel instead of a chain. $100 for two people

My husband and I stayed at the Brickyard Inn on a recent stopover in Rawlins, WY. We prefer to patronize independently owned mom-and-pop motels, especially the older motor lodge style properties where you can park right next to your room. The Brickyard Inn is small, so small in fact that reservations are maintained manually. They do have a website, but it's evidently for informational purposes only.
