Our names are Mike and Ruth Perry, we purchased the Brickyard Inn July 2015 and have been making renovations and improvements throughout the hotel including brand new beds, new windows, new doors and new TV's creating a warm and welcome environment to our valued guests. Very nice folks here. Removing one star for the smelliness of the bedding and one star for the multiple stains on the blanket between the sheet and the cover. Does the job but did not leave me glowing like many other reviews here.
Stayed just one night while traveling solo cross country. I called about 8pm on a Saturday night and the phone rep couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Gave me a fair rate on my credit card over the phone and then gave me the digital door lock code. Bed was very comfortable, decent TV channels, and a clean room. It's a great "mom and pop" type motel and I loved being able to back up right to my motel door. A very pleasant change from all the chain accommodations. They are dishonest. They emailed me a quote for $310 per week for a room. Found out I was coming in for a shutdown and called to say went up $150 per week. They are price gougers and I’ll report them to the AG office. Except the explanation I got wasn’t seasonal. It was you come in for the Shutdown so we are going up on your rates instead of honoring the quote we emailed you. Anyways hope you do well. I’m frustrated but not angry. I have housing by the month.
