My mom was a resident in this awful DUNGEON for several weeks beginning last April. Without going into every detail, let me just say that if you are considering this facility for your loved one, please, please, please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT put them here! The staff, save a couple of nurses, therapists and CNAs was HORRIFIC in every way. The rooms are shared with a fellow resident separated only by a curtain. There is ZERO privacy. The rooms are dated and dirty. The windows on the dementia side open barely one inch (... read more

This place is amazing! My mom was transferred from a different facility and she is doing so much better. The old facility was discussing a feeding tube, she was refusing showers hair was falling out/thin, and nails were horrible (she refused all care). At Valpo she everything has improved she gained weight (i had to buy her new clothes) hair is long and always clean, she showers regularly and nails are.always nice and painted.
