Excessive Use of Blowers Create Problems – My apartment complex uses Valley Crest for lawn maintenance. I live in a groundfloor corner apaprtment and when Vally Crest uses the heavy-duty blowers on the walkways, they end up piling clippings and lawn debris on my doormat and the powerful blowers actually blow the lawn debris under my front door and into my foyer. Unreliable with Poor Quality Control – Our HOA in Carrboro has contracted with Valley Crest and what a mistake!! Not only do they provide poor service (using a heavy riding mower over wet soil and not mowing areas that need a smaller mower) but their lack of consistency in addressing routine lawn care is amazing! The workers come and go with little regularity and minimal care is taken to actually "beautify" the entrance to our subdivision. Excellent work! – These folks do excellent work at my N. Raleigh townhome complex! I've been here 18 years, and the only time it has looked really good is while ValleyCrest has been here. It even looked great during the drought.

Terrible service, poor quality, over-billing problmes – We chose Valley Crest to do many thousands of dollars of residential landscaping. We chose them because we'd heard they'd done work for Disney. While their commercial or other divisions may be well-known, we had extensive problems with their Orlando residential branch. Terrible service, one of the worst! – Our HOA also recently hired these folks to do our 570+ unit complex of individually owned Townhomes. They aren't good at anything other than installing landscape timbers and pruning. They show up on an erratic schedule, their mowing is horrendously bad, missing large patches of turf and little to no string trimming or edging or blowing. A wonderful commercial landscaper, on the ball and proactive – These guys are great. We replaced Valley Crest with Cleary Bros on our commercial properties in the Bay Area and life has gotten Much Easier. These guys are great. They are full services. All of the crews know thier jobs and do great work. The account managers are trained to only bring forward problems If they have a solution attached. That solution is usually a proposal for extra work (OK with me), or it is a referal to another vendor. Very nice folks in the off... read more

Do NOT use this company – My Homeowners Association uses the company. They do NOT care about your lawn. They only care about getting the job done, NOT done correctly! EVERY time they cut my lawn they leave bare spots from using the equipment brakes and slide the mowers to turn. They overseaded 2 months too late AND the day before a LARGE rain was forcasted---did a lot of good having 75% of the seed wash down the storm drain. Overall they have done VERY little correctly. Out to make a quick buck!! Do NOT use.
