Wonder place! And thank you very much to the woman handling the stick bugs Saturday the 24th, absolutely made my day.
Make sure you check their Facebook page the morning of your visit. Preferably the very last second before you leave. I got an email the day before my booked visit confirming all was well, I drove an hour to get there the next day with my elderly Mum, and it was closed. It was a beautiful day too, but there had been rain overnight, so they closed it. Just please know that if you have to travel a fair distance to get there, they might decide to close their site in the time it takes you to drive there.
We travelled 30 minutes to visit this place, only to arrive and find it closed. We even tried calling ahead, but no one answered we just assumed they were busy. There was nothing on the answering machine or the home page of the website to indicate they were closed, and Google also showed them as open. We’re from NSW and don’t come this way often, so I was really looking forward to visiting, as were my children.
