Have been staying at the Briarcliff for the past 5 years. The newly renamed, Little Lion" has certainly lost all sense of appeal. There is no longer an inn keeper on-site and as a result the main lobby is inaccessible. This includes any access to coffee or the delightful breakfast pastries that had been available during previous years. Additionally, the lack of on-site staff meant that as anyone arrived at the inn they were inquiring about the processes, reservations and room accesses. For years, this has been my favorite getaway. Until now. Our favorite inn-keeper is no longer there. If we needed more towels or blankets, we would have had to get on our motorcycles to go to the other hotel and get them..in the pouring freezing rain. They wouldn't open up the lobby area for our group of 15+ that stayed all weekend in the pouring rain, outside. Basic room no frills. No staff on premises. Wall was cracked. Overall kind of ragged. The price was right for us and they take dogs so that's a plus. Walls are thin could hear our very noisy neighbor when they arrived which triggered our dog. We didn't stay our second night because of the noise.
Waited in parking lot for over 30 minutes with no response from management. Had reserved for a night, called and was no answer every time. One car in lot, think this place is scamming!! Do not stay there, sorry
