It is a great accomodation for families with large dogs and/or multiple dogs! They were 100% per friendly and even had peanut butter treats in the common area. It is maintained by the most kind woman who showed our dogs love and attention!
Disappointing stay, WEBSITE PHOTOS ARE MISLEADING! We did not have a good stay at the Little Lion. Great Barrington is a really nice town, but this motel is just not up to par with the area. While the location was nice and quiet, it did not make up for the failures in our room. The photos on the website feel fabricated because our room looked nothing like them. My wife and I read the reviews, chose it for their dogs-are-free-even-three policy. And you can use the hot tub and pool at the Red Lion (which we did). Stayed in #9. Loved it! Yes, it's a run-down motor court with a fresh coat of paint. But on a weekday in March we had the whole place to ourselves, so no tangling with other dogs or sounds from other guests. It was clean. Disappointing Stay - Nothing Like the Photos We booked this motel for an affordable two-night ski getaway over the holidays. Since it's run by the Red Lion Inn—which has an excellent reputation—I felt confident we'd have a decent experience. The online photos looked lovely and aligned with the recent trend of motels being renovated into more upscale accommodations. Unfortunately, we couldn't even make it through one night.
