Dr Shea put me at ease in the first consult. He had that combination of knowledge, experience, and humility that is so important in a surgeon. I knew that I would be okay. My surgery turned out to be more complicated than expected. Dr Shea took his time and dealt with the unexpected variables. I was sooooo blessed to have him as my surgeon!

Dr. Shea performed my emergency appendectomy and bowel resection at Medical City Frisco in July 2024. He insisted on performing the surgery right away, even though the initial recommendation had been to treat the appendicitis medically. It was a very good decision, as my appendix had ruptured and perforated my colon in the process. I would've been in the ICU or dead within hours if quick action hadn't been taken.
