Has been my therapist for the past 10 years (PTSD, mental illness issues, and coming to terms with my queerness). There is not a single other person I would have gone to or will go to. He is absolutely amazing! He takes the time to get to know you on a personal level to best help. He treats everyone with kindness, humanity, and respect. He has taken the time to get to really get to really know me, and he truly cares about my me and my well-being. He is, simply put, the best there is.
Brian Shaw is a competent, kind, and compassionate therapist. Without him, it would have been impossible for me to navigate the past 6 years of my life.
Brian is an awesome counselor and helped me through many difficult times. He is a great listener and did EMDR on me to help me get over my military trauma. I highly recommend Brian to anyone who wants real results.
I cannot say how everyone's therapy will go, but I can say that after a few years of DBT therapy I became bold enough to speak my opinion on a few things,which did not agree with his personal opinion. At that time I was no longer seen as a patient needing understanding but as a disagreeable and problematic patient. He refused my phone calls even though we had missed 2 regularly scheduled appointments due to illness and weather. I felt emotionally abused. It is his option to see who he likes,so be sure he likes you.
