I had mesh removal surgery with Dr. Jacob a few years ago, and despite discussing a plan to remove the mesh, repair my incision, remove lipomas, and address abdominal wall defects including diastasis recti, none of these issues (other then mesh being removed) were addressed during the procedure. Postoperative care felt vague, reactive, and unsupported, with no structured follow-up or transparency. I am less than a full month post op and it's as if I've never had surgery (in a good way.) Nothing hurts, everything has healed beautifully, and my ailment seems to have been fixed by Dr.Jacob. From the first appointment, to his responsiveness, all the way through to the surgery, he was simply 100% wonderful, kind, professional and highly skilled. He is worth the $$$$.
Double hernia surgery performed on me, 4/10/21 in Manhattan. I'm 64, otherwise healthy. I CHOSE Dr. Jacob because he had the most PRIZES/AWARDS in all of New York City, from USA Today, Castle Connolly, 2014-2021 inclusive,every award I could find, so I trusted him the most. I recently had a diasthasis recti repair and hernia removal with Dr. Jacob and cannot say enough positive things about the entire experience. I am incredibly happy with my result. From the consultation to the surgery to the aftercare, Dr. Jacob was incredibly thoughtful and thorough. 5 stars doesn't seem like enough!
