This guy’s passes himself as an eye surgeon but he is an optometrist. He refers all cataract surgeries to a handful of ophthalmologists that agree to do the surgeries but have to pay him a kickback. Start Law anyone? Stay away.
I found Dr. Den Beste to be arrogant and condescending. He had no time for explanations and allowed no questions. It was my good luck to have spent more time in the exam room with his optometry students, Jessica and Megan, who were kind and compassionate and took the time to explain my condition and what to expect.
Dr. Den Beste has been treating me for a complex cornea issue for 5+ years. I'm extremely grateful to have him as my doctor. He has helped guide me through my options over the years and ultimately, through a cornea transplant. Dr. Den Beste listened and understood the challenges unique to my situation when developing both the short-term and long-term treatment plans.
