They sent out a refund check for over $800 and we spent the money, months later they called and said we owed them over $800. They then proceeded to tell me that I should have put that money into my escrow account… why would I do that? I thought this was a check back for escrow overpayment. I feel like the $800 should be their problem since it is their fault. I’m not going to cancel, but it makes me want to! 🏢🚜

State Farm is not a good neighbor. They sell cut rate insurance as their competitors' commercials say and they don’t fully pay on claims. Don’t fall for the low rates. It’s not worth the headache if you have a claim. I would have been better off staying with my old insurance or not having insurance at all and doing the work myself. My entire claims process was an unprofessional mess. When filing the claim I was told it was my responsibility to get a water mitigation company on site. Well folks, "The truth is out there" And it has done a marvelous job of hiding from us. Soooo. If an Insurance company says they want to get money directly from your bank and put it in a special account just for you so that they can get their money when they want and draw more at the drop of a hat. Or maybe some different words that sound similar... RUN AWAY ! I AM BACK AT STATE FARM... Because this truth is self-evident. You get what you pay for.
