Really popular doctor. Apparently so popular that he was too busy to refill my wife’s asthma inhaler that we’ve been calling his office multiple times to request. Well today was her last day of her inhaler (as his office was informed multiple times). Not sure what tomorrow will look like. If you have a lifesaving medicine that needs to be refilled, and are okay with one refill at a time, or even no refills and no communication, feel free to add him as your doctor. Dr. Huizar is an absolute gem. He was my primary care physician for eight years. Always kind, always patient, terrific support staff. I never had to wait long in the waiting room, and if it was even five minutes he would be apologetic. In 2017 a wildfire briefly forced the closure of the Coastal Center; he and his staff relocated to a nearby office and kept our appointment. That is caring! I'm no longer in Southern California, but if I ever move back I'd return to his practice in heartbeat.

Dr. Huizar is one of the rare ones, he actually listened and cares. In addition is personable. He believes his patients know more about how they feel than anyone else, something many Doctors fail to understand.
Dr. Huizar is absolutely amazing and knowledgeable physician! He is a primary doctor for all my family and we are so lucky to have him. Kind bedside manners, nevere rushed, very professional.
