Dr Gillenwater is amazing and to be honest we don’t go to a doctors office much. But when we need a caring physician there’s no one I’ve even been to that’s better. So when my wife woke up a large lump on her breast we called the only guy we trusted. Unfortunately, since we haven’t been in since 2016 we were dropped as patience and he’s not accepting new patients. I guess I’m posting this mostly because I hope he sees this and knows that we will understand and will miss his services.

I have to admit after my previous family physician left Liberty Clinic, I wasn't sure anyone else would measure up. I was wrong. Dr. Gillenwater has been wonderful. In helping me through a chronic illness, he has been patient and compassionate while helping me find a cure. He takes the time to listen. Great bedside manner and great doctor! I don't know his age but I am hoping he is young enough to be able to stay with my husband and I until we are gone. Changing doctors is not an easy task.
I appreciate his direct approach. He is always willing to explain his reasoning and willing to take the next step in diagnostics, but doesn't push unnecessary tests/procedures. He is very intelligent and I feel confident in trusting his decisions. He is also very compassionate. Because he is such a great doctor, getting in can sometimes be hard, though.

Dr. Gillenwater is the best doctor I have ever seen over my 71 years. He is brilliant when it comes to diagnosing. Ive given him some tricky symptoms in the past and he has always been accurate. He is kind and caring yet very professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Gillenwater.
Dr. Gillenwater is probably one of the best PCP's I've had. He has a great bedside manner. He's very smart, friendly, so personable and made me feel at ease and genuinely cares. I am also a physician and he is someone I would trust with my parents!
Dr. Gillenwater is welcoming, thorough & explains everything well. He is truly concerned with our health & that means everything to our whole family.
He asked me to be honest with him and I asked him to do the same and he promised he would. I was in pain and if I needed NSAIDS I could nave gone to a drugstore to purchased an array of such. I've been in and out of pain from 1999 and there are times, to put it plainly, opioids are needed. I spent time and effort getting all the records he asked for and several more weeks waiting in pain but when I finally faxed, mailed and delivered EVERYTHING he requested he just came up with another excuse
I have been seeing Dr. Gillenwater now for about 5 years. He's by far the best doctor I've ever had in my 37 years on this earth. He takes the time to ask a lot of questions and lets you ask as many as you need to. I always leave his office feeling like I've gotten the best possible care that I could receive. His medical assistant Brenda is the same way. She's very sweet and very patient and a lot of times she'll squeeze me in even if they're full just to make sure I'm taken care of.
