This OB made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions at every appointment. I had a very scary delivery with preeclampsia, which left me with a lot of health anxiety. he was not only very helpful after that experience, but he also treated me like he really cared.
These types of appointments can give women anxiety, especially when going to a new doctor. I had expressed my personal concerns of this to his nurse due to a previous experience at aurora during the birth of my child. The first check-up everything went fine and he tried to make me feel comfortable. I did feel a bit rushed and he did leave me questioning things as he doesn't explain anything. Dr Dobbins was cold and unsympathetic. I felt like a dollar sign and like I have no control over my own health decisions. I left in tears feeling like I would never get the help I need. After being referred over for a robotic hysterectomy he downright refused until I agreed to take a medication that I will not be taking. I felt he was pushing the meds for a kickback even though I was adamant that I did not want to take medication for hormones. I will be seeking treatment elsewhere.
Years prior I came to this doctor with a pain I have had since puberty. No discussion of my pains or concerns. No discussion, I did not feel safe with this doctor at all and all he did was focus on my lack of insurence, his paycheck, and the fact I was overweight. If you are overweight at all do not see this man. He is only in it for the money and not your health. Next doc I went to for my care said he was the worst too.
