This is not a very ethical practice, although ethical and legal are not the same. These practices are allowed and legal. I was not contacted by them, or they had contacted me by mail and it didn't get to me. They sent me to collections, and they weren't much better. It is now on my credit report so i am dealing with it but it took a while to figure out what it was. Basically, an er physician with this group that saw me not 5 minutes charged me 900 dollars. They can do that. Not ethical but legal in our society.
