I was disappointed in my follow up after 2 MRI s and 2 CT scans. I have walked with a limp for a year. I have had spinal surgery in the past, 12 years ago, that has worked wonderfully. So initially I related to Dr. O that I was not sure if this was hip or back. Hip was never mentioned nor included in the testing. He suggested a back brace or physical therapy ( which I have been doing for 3 months ) and has helped some, or removing all past rods and screws replacing them with new and going up a little further in my back. Dr O'Shaughnessy is awesome at what he does. I've had 3 back surgeries and I have no pain anymore. I will never allow anyone else to ever touch it.

I had a fusion to repair flatback as a result of an earlier trauma surgery. I was supposed to have extensive rehab and wasn't sent anywhere after the hospital. I now have limited mobility in my spine and need help wiping still and just 3 weeks shy of a year out of surgery. The nurses and practitioners were rude at St. Thomas. I was not an easy patient and I do not tolerate pain well. If I did I wouldn't have needed the surgery. After the surgery he did 1Xray and decided he fixed me.
