we found that the doctor spoke too rapidly and did not slow down when asked; also did not talk directly to the patient. Specifically brought a meds list which never made it from the nurse to doctor. Not satisfactory at al.
So I got a phone call after getting a referral from my doctor. I talked with them on the phone and gave my insurance number and info. They said I’d have a co pay and that was fine. I woke up early, drove my kids accross town as I went to my appointment, and got there. They took my cars and gave me tons of pages of paperwork to fill out. I returned them and only then they call me up and say they don’t take my insurance and can’t see me. I’m sick to my stomach. Horrible, Horrible.. Dr. Mercer ran around my issue of why I was there never ordered MRI as he said he would after a couple tests done at their office. Still in pain. Offered no help or how we could proceed. His test showed nothing.. previous 2 MRI 's show moderate to severe disease. Totally dismissed me and report in front of him. Also said previous Dr. Sent over 300 pages and too much to look through. DO NOT SEE THIS PERSON. Should go back to school.... like very beginning
I initially was unsure about seeing Dr Mercer and Dr Justice. I always look at reviews and there were some very negative posts. I feel compelled to write this review. I found Dr Mercer and staff to be very professional and kind. Your appts are on time and the testing and explanations are thorough. Some tests are uncomfortable but Dr Justice is kind and tries to distract you while doing them. When I initially scheduled my appointment, I was told the practice accepts Florida Blue - long story short, they are not actually in network, but have some sort of arrangement w/ BCBS where they bill out some portion of the bill beyond the co-pay to the patient. Do your own due diligence and don't put your trust in the office staff of health care providers. No comment on the competency of the doctor that I saw.
