I came to Dr reichwage in September losing the ability to walk because of the pain while I was still working , hoping for a 2nd opinion that would not have to be a fusion. The dr told it to me straight, that I needed a triple disc fusion, my first surgery ever. We signed on that day for a month and a half out. October 5th I got in early for surgery, literally having to sit sideways on on my hands and knees for comfort. Very polite, but got up mid conversation and left. Nurse handed me a pamphlet about fusion and said someone would call me. I'm pretty sure I don't want someone cutting on me that won't take the time to explain what he would be doing.
In the middle of talking to me he got up and walked out. My family and I sat there stunned. Nurse came in and took us out. I was supposed to have a floriscope set up and when I called about it was told nope.
October 2024 Dr. Reichwage did a L5/S1 lower lumber fusion on me. I was really apprehensive about having surgery and put it off for almost 3 years. I am now approaching my 1 year anniversary from having the fusion, and I am so thankful I met Dr Reichwage and his team and had the surgery. I cannot thank you enough Dr. Reichwage for giving me my life back and doing such a great job on my back!! This was the first Summer in 3 years that I got to do all the things I want to do pain free. I just can’t thank you guys enough.
