My sister came to her. With a hernia and a tumor. She refused to operate on her because she “didn’t have a tumor and doesn’t work on only hernias” but less then four months later the tumor is doubled in size! Very unethical and put my sister in danger! Do not recommend
Dr. Shoup is incredible. She is so caring and friendly. She listens and is empathetic. Couldn't have asked for a better doctor. I will continue to recommend her to anyone in need of her services.

The fact that I'm posting my review a few months after my initial visit w/Dr. Shoup (Nov. '23) - rather than having done so sooner, is simply due to a memory lapse on my part. 🤯 Nevertheless, this does not take away from my very 1st impression of Dr. Shoup as a professional, and more importantly, as a compassionate human being. 5 stars is not enough. I put off surgery for various reasons then was referred to Dr. Shoup. Any hesitation I had was gone upon my first visit. I was treated as a person not a number. My questions and concerns were answered with compassion. On sugery day we met pre op and I was again assured all was ok and fears were squished. Post OP her compassion and genuine care were priceless. I had to call in the middle of the night due to being sick from my pain medication and she didnt hesitate to call me when she got then message.
