Paul and his team refurbished my dad’s 1960s typewriter and I gave it to my daughter. Not only did Paul’s team refurbish it, but they gave her a mini-lesson in how to use it. When we encountered a small margin-lock issue he walked us through how to fix it over the phone. Fixing broken analog items is a dying art, but it is alive here.

As a total design & type enthusiast, this place was a complete gem! If you’re looking for a classic typewriter or if you’re needing one repaired, this is the absolute place! The owners are very knowledgeable & super enthused about the typewriter business. An absolute must-visit!

Super cool little shop. The owner has quite the collection of typewriters for sale, and apparently does a lot of repair work as well. I stopped by one day just to check it out. The owner, Paul, was happy enough to let me try out a few machines while he worked with another customer. I didn't buy one that day, but it was still nice to check out. After speaking with someone at this shop and being told they work on this type of typewriter, my husband drove over an hour to have my typewriter repaired. The carriage was not advancing, that’s the issue. Apparently when he set it down, this woman laughed in his face and they refused to even look at it. May karma give you its abundance for your immaturity, lowbrow snideness, lack of professionalism, and rudeness. That Washington hospitality just never fails.
