Stayed for the Tomahawk Northwoods Fall Fest. My experience was a return to the Mom and Pop Family Resorts of northern WI from my childhood days. I thought they were all gone. Cabins were clean, staff friendly, price reasonable. It's a place where families used to go every year, and I see still do, to relax and have fun on the lake without all the electronic, cell phone, computer, non- personal interaction lifestyle the world has become. Loved it.
Great resort! Clean, great location and amazing prices! We worked with Dan and he was responsive, thorough and just nice. We rented a pontoon boat for 1/2 day and he worked with us so we could dodge rain and get the best time for fishing. We will definitely be back and the boat for the price was UNBEATABLE!! Thank you!!!
We had a great time at Brekkes. rooms were spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of things to do, kayaking, paddleboarding , paddle boats, boats to fish with. and lots of other things to do right on site. Even a bar with activities to do at night. My older kids had as much fun as the younger kids that were there when we were. We are looking forward to coming back again next summer. Dan and Nancy were awesome. great family getaway
Update - we stayed for a fifth year in Cottage 8. Had the same great experience as last year. Grounds and cabins are immaculately clean. Overall, a wonderful place to get away. Beautiful deck in a peaceful setting with a view of the lake. Lots of wildlife around the lake - bald eagles, herons, cranes, loons... The entire resort is surrounded by woods adding to the ambience for a perfect Northwoods getaway. Cabin was neat and clean, and recently updated.
