I cannot say enough good things about the Brantford Breastfeeding Clinic. Janice, my lactation consultant, is absolutely amazing. She is incredibly patient, non-judgmental, and always takes the time to listen to my concerns. She offers a variety of options and shares her expertise in a way that is supportive and encouraging. I am deeply disappointed with the care my niece and her mother received at this breastfeeding clinic. The consultant conducted a very superficial assessment and completely missed a significant lip tie and tongue tie. When the mother raised concerns, they were dismissed and invalidated, and the severity of the ties, along with their implications; was underreported. I had an awful experience here and I hope new moms consider seeing a private LC instead. My baby was 2 weeks early so small for her age. I was having trouble with not only latching but also with supply. I had a total of three appointments because I really wanted to give this place a shot but every time I went, the LC told me everything looks good when you could clearly see that my baby was not latching well and was not taking milk effectively. Absolutely wonderful experience! I cannot thank the team at this clinic enough for their support during my breastfeeding journey. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, heard, and understood. The lactation consultants were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate. The lactation consultant was amazing. The pediatrician on-site was amazing. However, their booking system and whomever confirms appointments, will cancel your ability to utilize them, for their own errors. I had an appointment confirmed, my baby was sick so we were asked not come in. That’s a cancellation, yes. Next message I recieved was OFFERING me an appointment date. I immediately said it will not work for me and needed a new date. I was then informed that NOT confirming, somehow also counts as a confirmation because the... read more
