Dr Martinez performed reconstruction surgery with DIEP flap post bilateral mastectomy on me. He was so nice, took his time explaining everything to me (which is such a rare thing if you’ve spent time with doctors before), and he was so knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Also Kari, his PA, was so kind, genuine, and would explain every part of the process thoroughly and in a way I could understand. Dr. Martinez is truly amazing. He really shined a light in the most difficult time in my life with being diagnosed with breast cancer. He is an expert at DIEP flap. He did surgery and came to visit me each day I was in the hospital. His work is impeccable. I can't believe the results I have. So happy I came to Texas from California for him to do my DIEP flap. He is an exceptional doctor and feel lucky he was part of my team. Thank you Dr. Martinez! You are one of a kind.

Getting breast cancer was the shock of my life. Having surgeons, PAs, and nurses who can offer education, as well as, give us the time we need to understand what is going to happen is priceless! Dr. Martinez and his PA, Kari have spent literally hours walking me and my husband through what it looks like to have a double mastectomy and DIEP flap. I cannot recommend Dr. Martinez and the team enough. I work in the medical field and know how challenging it can be to find a surgeon you trust while navigating insurance at the same time. I had several coworkers going through the same situation I was with either themselves or family members and they, unfortunately, chose different physicians and chemotherapy centers. Dr. Boehmler and Sarah Black were absolutely fantastic! They made a tough situation much easier by walking me through the DIEP flap reconstruction surgery and answering all of my questions. I am extremely pleased with the results. Not only are Dr. B & Sarah the very best at what they do, they are kind and compassionate people. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in surgical breast reconstruction surgery.
