The mammogram technician wrote on my form that I had a lumpectomy when in fact I had a mastectomy. Not only did I correct her, my surgical report clearly states that I had a mastectomy. Strangely, she refused to change it. Additionally, she took issue with the physician's referral for a diagnostic mammogram and argued that I should have a screening mammogram. Lovelace hasn't started to scam me. In 2024, I paid a flat copay to see Dr. Ridgeway in the breast center. This year, I saw Rosemary for another problem. I paid the $50 copay. Now, Lovelace hasn't tacked on an additional charge for $122 as a "treatment room/observation room charge " for me to wait in the exam room for the provider. Nobody is observing me, and No one is treating me. Humana Medicare Advantage is pressuring me to pay it because ER bills have a facility charge, which I personally think is a junk charge to inflat... read more
The Breast Care Center at Lovelace Women's Hospital has the kindest staff. Thank you for your concern and warm welcome, which is almost non-existent today. I'm 87 years old and so appreciate them.
