My first review was removed, so I’ll post again. Breakthrough lied on my assessment so they could profit off of my addiction and take advantage of me during a very vulnerable time in my life. After being kicked out of breakthrough because I relapsed, i had an opportunity to go over my assessment Breakthrough completed at my new treatment facility. Breakthrough is amazing! They genuinely care and want to help each person who comes in. Not like other places in town. The facility is beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming. The counselors are caring, helpful, and diligent. If you’re looking for a place to feel like your health and sobriety are a priority, Breakthrough is the place!! So grateful for them!
Nobody is "breaking through" at this place. Whatever is said in confidence to a counselor is discussed within the staff which is a violation of HIPAA. The lady running things Lisa, she's not an actual counselor by the way she's just a business lady. She cares about her business and her image and nothing else. They do have some good counselors here and good options like yoga, but does it really matter when they threaten to kick you out over relapse? Lower management is manipulative and dishonest. Upper management is ignorant and complacent. Avoid this company.
This place crushed my son and I. My son went here with a closed heart to recovery and then when he started building friendships and relationships with the staff his heart softened. He grew to love the people he saw all week. These people really meant something to him. I understand they wanted a fire under him, and wanted him to move into sober living.
