Bakery selection is decent but the customer service today was very disappointing. Waiting in line with my friend to get a loaf of bread, my friend paid, and instead checking to see if I was also waiting (I was standing behind my friend with my wallet out), the cashier just walked away, and the next one dismissed me for someone else who was behind my friend and I in line. I love the cakes they sell here, but I ordered a chocolate raspberry mousse cake for my birthday, and when we were cutting it, we noticed it was a chocolate chocolate mousse cake. We love that cake and order it often, but I was really hoping to try something different for my birthday.
Today was the first time I’ve been in to bathe nakery and I was disappointed. I got a cheese scone which cost $6, which I find expensive. I asked for a butter pat to go with it and they don’t have butter for them. I found it a bit dry and not enjoyable at all. I likely won’t be back!
Whenever I’m in Kingston, I always try and stop in to either toast and jam or bread and butter, I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant/bakery. Dropped in today and had a delicious tuna sandwich with their always terrific tomato soup. Every time I go in, there’s something new and interesting and everything is always so fresh.
